San Antonio - Best Places to Live and Work as a MovieMaker, 2023

SAN ANTONIO (January 18, 2023) – The City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture and its Film Commission today announced that San Antonio has, for the fifth year in a row, been named one of MovieMaker’s Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker. Featuring 25 big U.S. cities, San Antonio joins four other Texas cities on the list (Fort Worth, Dallas, Houston and Austin) and is highlighted among other film industry heavy hitters such as New Orleans, Atlanta and Vancouver.

"San Antonio has a rich film history, and besides being plugged-in, friendly, and affordable, it's almost astoundingly photogenic,” said Tim Molloy, Editor of MovieMaker Magazine. “San Antonio's experienced, economical crews can and do handle every type of production, from indie films to commercials to unscripted shows and docs.
